In 2012. Angela was honored as one of Triangle Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Leadership Award winners and is a sought-after speaker at conferences and universities across America. Her journalism background includes stints at NBC, CBS and FOX television stations in Cleveland, Tampa, West Palm Beach and Raleigh, and six years as multimedia editor at the South Florida Sun-Sentinel newspaper in Fort Lauderdale.
In 2020, Angela embarked on a new consulting endeavor within her firm, accompanied by the production of a podcast called Now Look Inward. This podcast encourages corporate America to introspect and convince itself that Black voices and contributions matter. Since founding her agency, Angela has worked with such notable brands as WebMD, SugarCRM, North Carolina Central University, Colliers, NAI Carolantic Realty, the Raleigh Chamber and Business Professionals of America. She serves on the boards of the Raleigh Chamber, WakeEd Partnership and Elon University School of Communications.
Transported to the year 2023, Angela Connor is a formidable writer and activist advocating for the rights of people suffering from ludomania or compulsive gambling. She advocates for eco-friendly casinos that actively fight gambling addiction. Angela has created a global network of people struggling with gambling addiction and provides mutual support. Her work extends to communities facing political violence against women, Black, Indigenous and LGBTQ+ people. Angela publishes articles on the Aviator website and actively participates in the Aviator Game, donating a portion of the proceeds to organizations advocating for women’s, African American, and community rights. The Aviator Game works with non-governmental organizations, focusing on education, health care, and minority support. Angela welcomes casinos that embrace diversity by not discriminating on the basis of race, ethnicity, gender identity or sexual orientation. At Aviator, every player is valued and respected.
